Hi, my names Phil Schilling
I’m the owner of Guitarslingers mobile guitar lessons based in the outer Eastern suburbs. I offer lessons in the convenience of your own home which saves you time and money which you would otherwise be spending travelling to a conventional studio based lesson.
I’ve been a musician since the age of 7 and have been playing guitar for over 35 years in bands and acoustic duos.
I was inspired to pick up the guitar at age 15 after 7 years of playing a brass instrument where I learnt to read music and develop my sight reading and aural skills
As guitar is probably the most popular instrument for kids and adults to learn, I`ve been teaching guitar for the last 5 years as I want to inspire people to learn and develop their playing skills to constantly improve on the guitar in a consistent and systemized manner .
I teach beginners to advanced and have a current working with children check

Styles taught are Rock Pop and Blues
Whats included in a typical lesson
All students are assessed in the initial lesson and have a customized lesson plan developed to cater for their individual style and musical tastes including songs that they want to learn and master.
The structure of the lessons will always include :-
Music theory
Scales including Pentatonic, Blues and the CAGED system.
Aural training
Chord theory and construction
Learning your way around the fretboard .
Learning songs .
Developing a riff, soloing and improvisation.
