Bio

Hi, I’m Marco and I’m based in Melbourne, Victoria.

I have over 20 years experience as a music teacher, performer, arranger & composer.

I teach and perform professionally on all saxophones, clarinet, flute and guitar.

My Music & Teaching Qualifications include:

Bachelor of Music Performance (Jazz & Improvisation) from the Victorian College of the Arts.
Advanced Diploma of music from NMIT/Melbourne Polytechnic.
Master of Teaching (Music) from the Melbourne Graduate School of Education at Melbourne University.

I have performed in numerous bands, of varying styles including jazz, classical, funk, latin, rock, pop, DJ, reggae, original music and other contemporary styles. I have toured all over Australia and internationally, with some of my performance highlights below:

Teaching Info

I am flexible in working with my students in identifying and setting their specific learning goals and our lessons will focus on developing these musical areas of interest.

Areas of musical interest we can cover include:

Expert advise and development of instrumental technique, musical repertoire, improvisation, musical theory, aural training, transcription, sight-reading, ensemble playing, composition skills, arranging, rehearsal skills, band leading and sharing my experience and knowledge, as a professional in the music industry.

I am also experienced with VCE Music and AMEB instrumental exams for students wishing to complete these studies.

During our lessons we will jam together, listen to and reflect on the legends of your instrument and famous recordings, transcribe great solos and licks, chat about all things music and most importantly have a lot of fun in the process
