Bio

Trea is an active teacher and performer based in Melbourne. She teaches trombone at all levels from beginner to advanced, and is an experienced teacher of most other brass instruments including trumpet, euphonium and tuba.
Trombone specialisation includes tenor, bass, alto trombone and sackbut.

Performance experience includes solo recitals, symphony and pit orchestras, rock bands, chamber music like brass ensemble, trombone quartet, brass quintet, trombone ensemble, and more. Trea has recently spent time working with electronic music, contemporary art ensembles, and exploring ethnic musics from around the world.

Trea has performed and trained in Australia, North and South America, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Japan, Italy and Germany, both as a soloist and ensemble musician. Projects have incorporated many different settings, genres and styles. As a keen educator, she has mentored high school and young university students during her travels. Education and collaboration are at the core of her professional work.
