Bio

From a far away land of Russia, I came to Melbourne 3 years ago to pursue my dream by studying Bachelor of Music. I have always wanted to create music, share it with the world, perform, record and, of course, teach people who might love it just as much as I. Since that time I have met a huge amount of incredible musicians in this city, who became close friends and/or collaborators. I successfully released a single with the band, played a lot of gigs as: a solo artist by the name Violett Fraser, member of a psychedelic-blues-rock band The Rabbit Lounge and a member of a cover jazz duo Across The Alley. Moreover, I started to record my solo album, which will see the light in 2019. In addition, I have been leading a children choir that is a part of The Russian House in Melbourne.

I put all my time into what I love and I hope to share it with the students, teach and inspire just as I was inspired long time ago myself, being a teenager who didn’t know what to start with and how to find confidence in what I do. It’s a long way, but it’s way easier when you`re surrounded by the right people.

Teaching Info

  • Hello, potential student!

I`m excited to see your interest in such a beautiful subject as music. I have been teaching for the past 5 years starting back at home in Russia. I treat every student as an individual and find the best suited method to achieve the goals, be it: having an interaction with an instrument for kids, where they learn to think and express themselves differently through music; playing your favourite tunes for a group of friends and/or playing it for a wider audience and exploring how creative you can become and maybe even succeed with your very own music career.

I think that it is important to not only master the instrument, but understand the theory and history behind it and the purpose of music itself. That’s why I always incorporate them in my instrument classes. Although, if you want to have a deeper knowledge in aural, sight singing and reading lead sheets which will give you a chance to enter any music degree in the future, I give longer classes consisting of instrument and theory with basic composition skills.

Classes in music history, preparation for university entrance exams and basic piano available as well.
