A list of experienced and talented Clarinet Teachers near you.

The clarinet is part of the woodwind family and is found in classical music, orchestras, concert wind bands, big band jazz groups and dixieland jazz bands.

Clarinet lessons for a beginner might focus on some fundamentals; proper breathing, tonal quality, timing as well as various articulation techniques used in playing the clarinet. A student would then take these skills and further develop them by playing classical, jazz and other contemporary clarinet repertoire. A Clarinet Teacher would also teach you how to read clarinet music and help you decide what style of playing will best suit you.

Advanced players may take clarinet exams and delve into improvisation with many jazz clarinet players doubling on saxophone, opening the door to a great variety of clarinet styles to study. Music theory and interpretation will also be incorporated into lessons as the student progresses.
