Bio

Frankie Demuru provides Rock and Metal musicians with fast and loud drumming performances for their shows, studio sessions, and projects.

Starting his live/recording activity from a very young age under the guidance of his ex-teacher Raphael Saini (Ex-Iced Earth), Frankie developed a drumming style that suits all modern genres of Rock and Metal. He keeps exploring other genres on the kit as well, such as Hip-Hop, Funk, Drum’n’Bass, Progressive, Fusion, and Latin.

Frankie has performed across Italy, Europe and Australia with his own bands and as a guest/session drummer for a variety of concerts and festivals. Throughout the years, he had the opportunity to share the stage with the likes of internationally famous Metal acts like Kalmah, Cancer Bats, Monuments, Wolves in The Throne Room, Be’Lakor, and more.

In 2019, Frankie joined the acclaimed one-woman Atmospheric Metal project Suldusk and performed at the Music Victoria Awards at the Melbourne Recital Centre, where the band was awarded with the “Best Heavy Album of the Year” for the Album ‘Lunar Falls’.

In 2022 he toured Australia with Andy Gillion in support of Be’Lakor, played live in numerous other projects, and graduated as a Bachelor of Music Performance at Melbourne Polytechnic

Since a very young age, Frankie has attended clinics, lessons, and masterclasses with: Mike Mangini, George Kollias, John Macaluso, Dino Verdade, Dom Famularo, Jason Bowld, Sergio Bellotti, Thomas Lang, Dave Lombardo, Mark Zonder, Virgil Donati, Mike Johnston, Benny Greb, Jp Bouvet, Hannes Grossmann, Peter Wildoer, James Payne, Francesco Paoli and many more.
